Ahsan - Introduction

A TORTURE in English grammar.

Introduction:
The stationary store “Versatile” is owned by Mr. Usman. The store was established in 2000. It’s located in a society named “Askari Apartments” in Gulberg III Lahore. It has no other branches in Lahore or any where else in Pakistan. It is always crowded. Mr. Usman’s business looks running well. It has four different sections. The first section is of stationary, the one which is crowded because mostly students buy some stationary. The second section is of beauty make ups items, where there are mostly girls /women looking some make up kits and related other stuff. The third section is of books. The books section is the smallest, because the school and other types of books which are placed in the shop are just for the children of small classes. The fourth section is of gifts where one can find, wrist bands, chains, watches, lighters, decoration items and the kind of stuff which is mostly liked by the young peoples. So sometimes the fourth section also crowded.
But now as many years have passed the owner has a main problem in the shop. That is that his business system is manual. This is causing many problems. The owner is interested to computerize his store managing to over come some problems. So they had asked me to produce a computerized system which will help them to increase their sales.

The problems which the owner is facing with the manual system are that the shop data is not stored properly. Only registers are used to write the data on. At which a lot of time is wasted to write the whole account of the day. The second advantage of registers is that the wastage of paper is at its extreme. As a register is finished a new one is started. So after some time a couple or records are written on a bunch of registers which are very difficult to handle. Sometimes is also happens that the registers are misplaced and at that time the owner becomes in loss because at that time he does not know that how much product is needed and how much is in the stock. There is no security of the data because the registers are put into drawers from where the data is easily accessible to everyone. As when I will turn Versatile’s manual system into computerize system, there will be some advantages which will be helpful for the owner and might increase his sales at very extend.

(don’t mention any advantages or disadvantages. That comes at a later stage. Only list the nature of the problem very briefly. )

Objectives:
 The system will make the work faster in the shop from which the shop will be not crowded all the time and the customers will be freed quickly.
(MENTION How. Just because you say so , it wouldn’t be a better system.)
 Now the data will be stored in a proper manner not like before in registers placed in large drawers.
(rephrase. You are not to insult the manual system. Only highlight YOUR proposal’s objectives)
 In manual system the biggest problem was that if the owner had to update something in the data he had to write all the data again but in the computerize system there is no need to write the data again but the owner can just update the file he wants to.
(Never explain your objectives. This section is for LISTING YOUR GOALS REGARDING YOUR PROPOSED SOLUTION)
 In manual system there was no security of the data but now the data will be coded or the owner can give a password to the data. From this process the only owner could see the shop data no one else.
 Now the owner will have the facility of data backups.
 In case the data is lost from system he can regain the data from the backup. But if it was the manual system the owner could not get his data back because the data was on the register and if the register is gone the data is also gone.
(explaining again.. )
 The system will be user friendly.
 The system will edit and delete the data when the owner wants to.
(rephrase: easy updating.)
 Now every process will be efficient there will be no chance of any mistakes and if any errors will come the system will alert the owner.
(Do not use words like no chances, or no errors. No system in the world is known to be 100% error free or efficient)

Also, do not REPEAT objectives.
